Datone Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and the individual developer (“we”, “us” or “our”) of the Datone app (called 大同互译 in Chinese; the “App”) regarding your use of the App. By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service and Fees

The App provides face-to-face, real-time translation. New users get some free usage time; the amount is as shown in the App. After that, you can buy hour packs in the App; the available packs, prices and validity periods are as shown on the purchase page. Hour packs are one-time purchases that do not renew automatically, and any time left unused when a pack expires is cleared. We may change the free allowance and the types and prices of hour packs; hour packs you have already bought are not affected.

2. Accounts

Signing in is optional. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity under it. You can delete your account at any time in the App’s Settings.

3. Prohibited Conduct

• Violating laws or regulations, or infringing the privacy or other rights of others (for example, recording other people’s conversations without their consent in violation of local law).
• Reverse engineering or otherwise analyzing the App.
• Accessing the service’s interfaces through any client or program other than the App without our permission.
• Circumventing free usage limits, or accessing the service by automated or bulk means.
• Interfering with the normal operation of the service.
• Any other conduct we consider inappropriate.

4. Translation Results

Recognition and translation results may contain errors and are for reference only. Please use your own judgment and verify them. Your speech and conversation content belong to you, and you authorize us to process them to the extent necessary to provide the service.

5. Changes, Suspension and Termination

We may change, suspend or end all or part of the service. If you violate these Terms, we may suspend or stop providing the service to you, revoke any unused free usage time, and restrict the devices and accounts involved from using the service.

6. Disclaimer

The service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that it will suit your particular purpose, be accurate or error-free, or be uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

7. Personal Information

We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may change these Terms and will publish the changes in the App. If you continue to use the App after the changes, you are deemed to have accepted the revised Terms.
